Instead of our normal Tuesday rehearsal, we'll be at Golders Green underground station on Tuesday December 12th, joining in with a campaign called Choirs For Change which is raising money for the charity Health Poverty Action.
About Health Poverty Action:
Health Poverty Action sees health as not merely a medical challenge, but a fundamental issue of justice and human rights. We believe that where you are born should not determine your right to health. We therefore prioritise populations missed out by others across Africa, Asia and Latin America. We believe that poor health and poverty are inextricably linked and so we tackle the underlying causes of poor health and poverty simultaneously such as weak health systems, nutrition, water, sanitation, immunisation and women’s empowerment.
We plan to sing from about 7pm until our voices give out. The station is on the Edgware branch of the Northern line between Hampstead and Brent Cross.
