On Saturday 18th June the BHA Choir performed at the Pirate Castle Open Weekend, specifically at the ceremony launching their brand new boat. The Pirate Castle in Camden is home to a charitable youth club, which the BHA Choir used as their rehearsal space during autumn 2010 and spring 2011. Between the Mayor of Camden cutting the ribbon the Choir performed their renditions of Sumer Is Icumen In and One Day Like This, as well as the sea shanty Blow the Man Down, which they learnt especially for the event. The piratical dress code was enthusiastically fulfilled by Choir members. Photos of the day can be seen in our gallery and you can find out more about the Pirate Castle on their website and Facebook page.
