Although we haven't been able to be together, it hasn't stopped us singing together! We've been continuing our rehearsals as a virtual choir, learning some new music - and putting together a music video.
Pokarekare Ana is a beautiful love song from New Zealand, written in both Maori and English. We've been learning it since January - now you can hear how we sound.
It might not be our normal way of performing, but we hope it brings people a bit of happiness in these difficult, strange times. We definitely feel better for having made music together as a choir!
Take a listen above, or you can find it on YouTube here.
Other things we've been occupying ourselves with include regular film nights, pet pageants, pub quizzes and Humanist Island Discs - you can hear our selections on Spotify here. Our choir feels like a family, and it is so lovely to see everyone supporting each other.
Wishing everyone good health, and sending huge thanks to all NHS and keyworkers!
